Auburn Gear Positraction
Limited-Slip Differentials

From rain, ice, and snow to muddy trails and back roads, Auburn Positraction units provide a full range of limited-slip differentials. These positraction units are designed to transfer torque quickly and smoothly in any driving condition. We can supply Auburn Positractions for Chrysler, Dana, Jeep, AMC, Ford, General Motors, Isuzu and Toyota's.

This unique cone clutch design, is made to exacting specifications, outlasts and outperforms clutch-plate designs for proven traction enhancement, performance and unsurpassed durability.

Two Different Series Available
High Performance Series  for standard equipment on most popular cars and trucks. Superb power transfer with more torque delivered to the high traction wheel, even when the loose wheel traction is zero. See table below for applications on High Performance Series.	Pro Series  is the ultimate in limited slip differentials. A high bias differential that delivers more torque, more traction and faster engagement for controlled power transfer and quick reaction to changing load conditions! Recommended for improved performance in car, pick-up, and van applications. See table below for applications on Pro Series.

The 99 GM 1/2 ton Trucks, Vans and SUV's using the GM 8 1/2 10 bolt axle, must use the 542052 Pro Series. Use the 542052 and the Stock Bearings for 1999. The bearing included in kit will not be used. GM has changed the axle housing and carrier bearing from the LM501349/LM501314 to LM603049/LM603012. This change will not allow the 542022 to fit.
