I have an Infinity QX4 2002


Question: 101K miles, Seems to be stuck in 3rd gear (?) won't shift. (No service lights) 2300RPM - 40 MPH, 2600 - 50MPH, 3,000 - 60 MPH.  Off throttle RMP drops to 1000, back on throttle goes straigt back up to previous max RPM. Dealer test drove following day - No problem, No error Codes.  Shifted poorly previous week, dealer replaced TPS sensor.  3rd time in shop w/i 2 weeks, (2) different Nissan Dealers - Intermittent problem - W/O error codes these "Techs" can't diagnose problem.

Question:  I have a  NP231 in 1996 Dodge Dakota with manual
transmission, when I turn sharp I get  a clicking sound,
that you might expect from a NP249 transfer case.  I have tried to duplicate this problem with the wheels off the ground and running, noise goes away.  Do you know what might be the problem and can you quote parts to repair.

Question:  I have a NP271 transfer case behind my NV5600 transmission in my late model Dodge Cummins that has gone bad.   I can buy a NP271 that is in good shape, it also comes form a Dodge Cummins but the transmission is a G56, are these units interchangeable?

General Motors Corp. announced Tuesday it has signed a deal to sell its Hummer line, just one day after filing for bankruptcy.  But GM would not identify the buyer nor name a price, saying only that the deal would close by the end of September.
