IDENTIFICATION - Aluminum end loaded case with integral bellhousing and 5-bolt front bearing retainer. An illustrated drawing of theFS5W71C is provided.

F4W71B: 4 Speed with 52mm O.D. front countershaft bearing. F4W71C: 4 Speed with 52mm O.D. front countershaft bearing. FS5W71A: 5 Speed with 63/22 front countershaft bearing. 1974-79 have a steel 5th gear syncro ring. FS5W71B: 5 Speed with 63/22, B22-19 or 22BC0659X front countershaft bearing. Early units have a steel 5th gear syncro ring. FS5W71C: 5 Speed with B22-19UR or 22BC065SX front countershaft bearing.
