Whats a core? Print E-mail

WHAT IS A CORE?

  • A CORE IS OUR SECURITY GUARANTEE
  • A CORE IS YOUR PROMISE TO RETURN THE OLD WORN OUT UNIT
  • A CORE MAY BE DIRTY AND BROKEN BUT A REBUILDABLE UNIT

YOUR CORE IS A VALUABLE ASSET

We must have your cores returned in a rebuildable condition. Otherwise we would have no units to exchange. In order to encourage you to make a timely return, we invoice you for the price of the rebuilt unit, PLUS we invoice you for the value of the core.

A core return due date is 30 days from date on your invoice. This message warns you of a 20% penalty if your core remains out for over 30 Days. We reserve the right to refuse the return of any core that is over one month overdue. If you need special consideration for the return of your core, you must arrange an extended core agreement at the time of purchase.

A core credit is not issued until Drivetrain or our manufacture does a complete inspection of your unit. This may take up to 30 days after we receive your core.

Core deductions will be charged only if your core is in a poor condition. Some of our guidelines are:

a.. Broken or cracked case, housing or casting, spun bearing in case
b.. Missing components
c.. Excessive gear and/or shaft damage
d.. Ring and pinion not reusable
e.. Damage to drum or planetary unit
f.. Totally burnt or flooded units

Drivetrain will fax or e-mail you an explanation of any core reductions.

You may request the return of damaged parts for inspection (at your expense).

Drivetrain's main goal is to remanufacture your core for the next customer.

If a core is too damaged to rebuild, it is of little use to Drivetrain.

In most cases, cores may be returned disassembled. Please package the components carefully to prevent damage in shipping.

If you have a question about a specific problem you suspect with your core, please call us. We can often give you a dollar figure based upon your condition report.

Before shipping back your core please check with your sales person to ensure that you are shipping to the correct address. If you need help returning you core please call we can help you.
