  Cast iron, side loaded case with 9-bolt side cover. Non-synchronized 1st gear with 36 tooth brass synchro rings for 2nd/3rd with a four-step cluster gear. Main shaft for 1st/reverse gear has a helical angle pitched to the left or right.    
BORG-WARNER T86 1956-67 Cars, 1957-64 Trucks Inquire  
  Cast iron, top loaded case with the shifter on the side. Non-synchronized 1st gear with 30 or 33 tooth brass synchro rings for 2nd/3rd with a four-step cluster gear. Main shaft for 1st/Reverse gear has a helical angle pitched to the right or left.    
BORG-WARNER T87 1948-75 Trucks Inquire  
  Cast iron, top loaded case with 9-bolt side cover. Non-synchronized 1st gear with 27 tooth brass synchro rings for 2nd/ 3rd with a four-step cluster gear. Main shaft for 1st/Reverse gear is straight cut.

  Cast iron, top loaded case with 9-bolt side cover. Non-synchronized 1st gear with 36 tooth brass synchro rings for 2nd/3rd with a four-step cluster gear. Main shaft for 1st/Reverse gear is straight cut.    
FORD 277 HED 1960-66 Cars Parts List 48
  Cast iron, top loaded case with 4-bolt tin top cover. The extension housing can be either cast iron or aluminum with the shifter on the side. Non-synchronized 1st gear with 24 tooth brass synchro rings for 2nd/3rd with a four-step cluster gear. Main shaft for 1st/Reverse gear has a helical angle pitched to the left or right. Found only in 6 cylinder applications

  Cast iron, side loaded case with a 9-bolt cover on top and side shifter linkage. Main shaft reverse gear is located on the outside of the 1st gear synchro sleeve. The cluster gear is a 3-step helical cut gear.

  Cast iron, side loaded case with a rectangular 8-bolt side cover. Main shaft Reverse is located on the outside of the 1st/2nd slider. This English made transmission is found in 6 cylinder Falcon, Sprint, Comet, Ranchero and Mustangs only. Very hard to find parts for.

  Cast iron or aluminum top loaded case with either side or turret shift. Available with or without overdrive. Main shaft Reverse is located on the outside of the 1st/2nd slider and all synchro rings have 36 teeth. On Overdrive units the 3rd gear on the cluster gear is larger than the 4th gear (the front gear). Casting # 260XXXX and/or Ford number.    
TREMEC RTS 1984-87 Trucks Parts Lis 107
  Aluminum, top loaded case with tower shift. All units have Overdrive. Main shaft Reverse is located on the outside of the 1st/2nd slider and all synchro rings have 36 teeth. The 3rd gear on the cluster gear is larger than the 4th gear (the front gear). Casting number 260XXXX.

  Cast iron, top loaded case with a 6-bolt top cover. English built transmission.    
GERMAN FOG 1971-86 4 Cylinder Ford Cars Order K100202    
  Cast iron, top loaded case with a flat tin, rectangular 10-bolt top cover and an aluminum extension housing with the shifter tubes on top. 1st/2nd synchro rings are larger than 3rd/4th. A single shift rail runs the entire length of the transmission, from above the front bearing retainer out to the shifter.    
BORG-WARNER RAD (SR4) 1974-81 Cars Parts List 42
  Aluminum, top loaded case with the shifter on the extension housing. The shift forks are in the aluminum top cover with a single shift rail. 1st/2nd synchro rings are larger than 3rd/4th. Case has a Ford logo casting with either 13-32 or 13-40.

  Cast iron, top loaded case with a cast iron top cover and tower shift. Non-synchronized 1st gear with brass synchro rings for 2nd-4th. Main shaft Reverse, located on the outside of the 1st/2nd slider, has 43 straight-cut teeth.

  Cast iron, top loaded case with a cast iron top cover and tower shift. Non-synchronized 1st gear with brass synchro rings for 2nd-4th. Main shaft Reverse, located on the outside of the 1st/2nd slider, has 40 straight-cut teeth.

  Cast iron, top loaded case with a cast iron top cover and tower shift. Fully synchronized in all forward gears with brass synchro rings. Main shaft Reverse gear has 44 helical cut teeth. F500 - F800 trucks have tapered bearings on the input and main shafts. Casting number T19 or 13-09.    
NEW PROCESS 435 1964-87 Trucks Parts List 83
  Cast iron, top loaded case with a rectangular top cover and tower shifter. Non-synchronized 1st gear with aluminum ring/pin synchronizers for 2nd-4th. Main shaft 1st/Reverse sliding gear has 37 straight cut-teeth.

TREMEC RAP 1980-83 4 Cylinder Cars Order K100223    
  Aluminum, top loaded case with a tin rectangular 10-bolt cover. All main bearings are tapered and the 5th gear synchro assembly is on the Main shaft All five synchro rings are the same. Casting number 260XXXX.    
BORG- WARNER T5 1983-85 Cars Parts List 44
  Aluminum, top loaded case with single rail shift linkage. Input and Main shaft bearings are tapered and the cluster gear is supported by cylindrical roller bearings in the case on each end. The 5th gear synchro assembly is on the end of the cluster gear. There are different size brass synchro rings. Casting number 13-52.

  Aluminum, front loaded 3-piece case with bell housing, body and extension housing.    
BORG-WARNER WORLD CLASS T5 1985-96 Cars Parts List 44
  Same as the T5 except that the cluster gear is supported by tapered bearings front and rear and the only brass synchro ring is 5th. 1st/2nd synchros are 3-piece assemblies and the 3rd-4th synchros are steel with a fiber lining.

  Aluminum, top loaded case with integral bell housing. Fully synchronized in all gears, including reverse. 1st-5th synchro rings are brass with a fiber lining.
