Our Ford power chip re calibrates the factory Powertrain Control Module (PCM) parameters which control the engine's air/fuel mixture, timing, turbo boost (diesel), and the automatic transmission performance. When towing a heavy trailer, you need the added performance provided by the Power Chip. For the early Dodge Cummins the Cam plate is a mechanical part that you easly install in the fuel pump.
The shortcomings of the new electronic-controlled engine is the fine-tuning of thefuel injection system. now, through the miracle of advanced microcircuit electronics,drastic horsepower improvements are possible with the aid of computer software. That'swhere our new Chip enters the picture.
For Ford gas vehicles horsepower increase startsat 16, with additional torque for some gas vehicle up to 50 foot pounds increase.Expedition owners can expect 35 additional horsepower and 50 more foot pounds oftorque for their V-10.
