30300 and 30301 Competition MODULE |
|
The Edge Comp module
maximizes engine efficiency by monitoring the RPM, timing, turbo boost
pressure and fueling parameters of your Cummins engine. The Comp module
uses this information to determine and control both fueling and timing
enhancements for the Bosch fuel injection pump. Timing and fueling
enhancements are controlled via CAN-BUS through the Data Link and by
connecting directly into the Bosch fuel injection pump.
The Edge Comp features five power levels with power gains from 40-120
horsepower. Each of the levels has five independent adjustable
sub-levels to control low boost fueling, providing a total of 25 levels
of adjustability! The responsiveness settings enable you to dial-in the
optimum balance between responsiveness and low boost smoke control no
matter what additional power modifications have been made to the
engine. The Comp module is fully adjustable on-the-fly and mounts
inside the cab.
The following power gains are representative of an actual test vehicle.
These gains were measured on a SuperFlow Dyno at an altitude of 4400 ft
above sea level, and represent power delivered to the rear wheels of
the test truck. The only modification made to the test truck was the
addition of the Edge Juice module. Power gains may vary based on
vehicle and geographical location.

Your Attitude monitor allows you to monitor the performance of your
engine’s vital engine components and output values. The following
parameters can be displayed on the main Attitude screen (maximum 4 at
one time):
• Backdown %
• Voltage
• EGT (exhaust gas temp)
• Engine Coolant Temp
• Engine Fuel Pressure (pressure of the fuel “lift pump”)
• Fuel Temperature (measured in the VP44 injector pump)
• Intake Air Temp
• Engine Load % (only on later models)
• Module Temperature (internal temperature of the module)
• RPM
• Speed MPH
• Throttle %
• Transmission Temp
• Turbo Boost Pressure
• Oil Pressure
That Attitude can sound an alert when certain engine parameter levels are met. The following alerts are available:
• EGT
• Boost
• Engine Temp
• Speed
• Engine Oil
• Fuel PSI
• RPM
• Trans Temp
Keep track of your performance by recording maximum/minimum for a variety of parameters including:
• Max Engine Temp
• 0-60 times
• ¼ mile times
• Max RPM
• Max Speed
• Minimum Fuel Pressure
• Max Module Temp
• Max Transmission Temp
It is strongly advised that you do not combine or stack chips to gain more horsepower with this module.
A Hot Unlock Code, which includes a level 6 power level, is available
for this product. Although there is not a significant increase in peak
HP when compared to level 5, the level 6 fueling curve is more
aggressive in the bottom and mid range and adds more fuel in the high
RPM range. To get the unlock code you must complete a waiver located
under product updates.
*Increase in fuel efficiency varies based on driving style
Note: The Juice must be used in conjunction with an Attitude or A2.

Put the fire back in your Dodge diesel while increase
towing power and mileage on your GM Dodge diesel Diesel Pick Up with our new Programmer.
Our programmers and update computer codes are designed to be a non-intrusive, easily
reversible means of increasing the performance of GM Dodge diesel vehicles utilizing the
Allison automatic transmission. This is accomplished by plugging our DurRaptor Programmer
into the direct link connector and uploading a new computer code to the PCM (Powertrain
Control Module), thereby overriding the factory tuning.
Performance benefits are immediately realized in
the form of improved throttle response and increased power. Long-term benefits include
improved fuel economy and improved automatic transmission service life. Extensive
research and dyno testing as well as customer response have shown there to be no
negative benefit from the use of our enhancements to the performance, and the initial
costs are far outweighed by the benefits gained by utilization of our module.
How is it Possible?
While our Programmer and new codes are designed and calibrated to increase
performance, the improved tuning generally results in improved economy, this
is due in large part to the inherent calibration design. It all starts at the
vehicle factory. Calibration engineers have to weigh several factors into designing
a calibration program for any given vehicle, including things like temperature
extremes, altitude extremes, driving conditions and fuel quality. To cover a
broad range of driving applications and conditions, the programmers will use
a "Lowest Common Denominator" method of tuning. This means they will
account for the worst driving conditions and fuel quality that is feasible and,
while still maintaining reasonable performance and economy, they will base their
calibrations on these factors. Unfortunately, this type of tuning is obviously
not going to offer the best performance or economy. Our programmers overcome
this by retuning the calibrations designed for your given vehicle under your
specific conditions. While other manufactures may offer generic performance
improvement products, which cover a broad number of vehicles, our engineers
design calibrations based on your vehicle specific information.
Using that information, our programmers can design
calibration code to provide the best possible combination of performance and economy
without adversely affecting the integrity or service life of the vehicle. Such performance
tuning also provides for improved vehicle emissions.
What you can expect!
Performance increases for the Dodge diesel-diesel is
achieved by dramatically improving the fuel management tables as well as the turbocharge
boost controls to increase performance and derivability without sacrificing economy.
With automatic transmission functions becoming more dependent on computer controls,
there are a large number of performance benefits achieved by tuning the automatic
transmission calibrations as well as the engine. As manual transmission vehicles
are inherently more efficient, require less maintenance, and are generally less expensive
than automatic transmissions, they are usually the choice for larger fleets. Obviously,
there are no possible ways to improve performance in a manual transmission, at least
not electronically. Fortunately, automatic transmission reap a large number of benefits
from performance tuning. Improvements in shift programming can increase performance
by utilizing more of the engine's operating output RPM range or "power bank".
Reducing slip time between shifts has several benefits including reduced clutch plate
wear and minimization of fluid breakdown due to heat. This translates into longer
service life, fewer repairs and lower downtime
