Mileage Max delivers something every driver wants: improved fuel economy. In less than 10 minutes you can install this money-saving inline module that not only improves fuel economy by up to 7%, but also delivers a boost in horsepower. The more you drive, the more you save.
Testing Procedure
The Mileage Max was developed and tested by Edge engineers using a repeatable road test towing a light load, and on a Mustang dynamometer to duplicate typical driving conditions. On the dyno, both input and return fuel lines from the test truck were run into a separate tank containing a known quantity of fuel placed on an extremely accurate digital scale. With the truck fully warmed, the truck’s cruise control was set to 70 MPH in overdrive and a constant load applied to simulate the road test. The weight of the consumed fuel was then subtracted from the original weight and converted into MPG.
Repeated test results showed the Mileage Max consistently delivered up to a 7% improvement in fuel economy (depending on year and model of the vehicle) and an increase of up to 25 horsepower. In order to ensure accuracy, several tests were performed and an average made with and without the Mileage Max using the same conditions on the same road test and dyno.

Edge’s latest Juice with Attitude release for the 6.4L Ford is Edge’s most sophisticated and power-producing module to date. The Juice with Attitude dramatically improves the Ford 6.4L’s driveability, towing capability, mileage and power.
The Juice plugs into the truck’s factory connections in a matter of minutes and communicates directly with the engine’s ECM, from which it receives vital engine data and fuel system information. This communication enables the Juice to provide smooth and precise power under any driving condition. The Attitude is the in-cab controller that controls the Juice and provides constant real-time updates on the truck’s vital information. Using the Attitude, one can choose from five different power levels and shift on the fly.
The Juice with Attitude produces noticeable gains in horsepower and ft-lbs of torque — anywhere from 20-70 additional horsepower and 60-120 additional ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels. It is the premium power module, controller and gauge package. The Attitude functions as a comprehensive gauge display by monitoring exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), turbo boost, transmission slip and engine coolant temperature. The module even has built-in safety features to protect the truck, such as audible alerts and automatic defueling to prevent excessive EGT, boost levels and transmission slippage. Our programmers and update computer codes are designed to be a non-intrusive, easily
reversible means of increasing the performance of Ford vehicles utilizing the
automatic transmission. This is accomplished by plugging our Programmer
into the direct link connector and uploading a new computer code to the PCM (Powertrain
Control Module), thereby overriding the factory tuning.
Performance benefits are immediately realized in
the form of improved throttle response and increased power. Long-term benefits include
improved fuel economy and improved automatic transmission service life. Extensive
research and dyno testing as well as customer response have shown there to be no
negative benefit from the use of our enhancements to the performance, and the initial
costs are far outweighed by the benefits gained by utilization of our module.
How is it Possible?
While our Programmer and new codes are designed and calibrated to increase
performance, the improved tuning generally results in improved economy, this
is due in large part to the inherent calibration design. It all starts at the
vehicle factory. Calibration engineers have to weigh several factors into designing
a calibration program for any given vehicle, including things like temperature
extremes, altitude extremes, driving conditions and fuel quality. To cover a
broad range of driving applications and conditions, the programmers will use
a "Lowest Common Denominator" method of tuning. This means they will
account for the worst driving conditions and fuel quality that is feasible and,
while still maintaining reasonable performance and economy, they will base their
calibrations on these factors. Unfortunately, this type of tuning is obviously
not going to offer the best performance or economy. Our engineers overcome
this by retuning the calibrations designed for your given vehicle under your
specific conditions. While other manufactures may offer generic performance
improvement products, which cover a broad number of vehicles, our engineers
design calibrations based on your vehicle specific information.
Using that information, our programmers can design
calibration code to provide the best possible combination of performance and economy
without adversely affecting the integrity or service life of the vehicle. Such performance
tuning also provides for improved vehicle emissions.
What you can expect!
Performance increases for the PowerStroke-diesel is
achieved by dramatically improving the fuel management tables as well as the turbocharge
boost controls to increase performance and derivability without sacrificing economy.
With automatic transmission functions becoming more dependent on computer controls,
there are a large number of performance benefits achieved by tuning the automatic
transmission calibrations as well as the engine. As manual transmission vehicles
are inherently more efficient, require less maintenance, and are generally less expensive
than automatic transmissions, they are usually the choice for larger fleets. Obviously,
there are no possible ways to improve performance in a manual transmission, at least
not electronically. Fortunately, automatic transmission reap a large number of benefits
from performance tuning. Improvements in shift programming can increase performance
by utilizing more of the engine's operating output RPM range or "power bank".
Reducing slip time between shifts has several benefits including reduced clutch plate
wear and minimization of fluid breakdown due to heat. This translates into longer
service life, fewer repairs and lower downtime.
