The NV136 has a design problem, the pump can wear out the case causing premature failure and leaking.   The problem with merely replacing the case is it won’t solve the problem.  Magnesium cases are soft; aluminum pumps are harder.  The problem leak will come back.  Maybe on someone else’s watch, but surely you pride yourself in fixing problems.  Fix a factory defect, before problems arise we recommenended our Case Saver part number MW52007.  You need to install this part before the oil pump causes your transfer case damage.
