IDENTIFICATION - Cast iron case and extension housing with 7-bolt side cover. Fully synchronizd with 30 tooth synchro rings.

Identification and ratio information is provide below these groves are typically cut across the clutch spline on the input shaft:

3 Speeds: 4 step cluster gear, all gears helical cut, including reverse with two shifter cams in the side cover. 1966-69 units may have electric overdrive.

4 Speeds: 5 step cluster gear, straight cut reverse gear on the outside of the 1-2 slider with three shofter cams in the side cover.
