IDENTIFICATION - Cast iron, top loaded transmission with a flat 10-bolt cover in the top and side shifter linkage except for the Jeep which is tower shift. Mainshaft reverse is located on the outside of the 1st gear synchro slider and cluster gear is 3-step helical cut. Check internally for synchro arrangement on Ford car and truck applications. Casting number is 260XXXX.
