Driveline Dodge Failure Symptoms
New or strange noises from under the vehicle are a symptom of a problem with the Driveline. These noises can emulate from the following:
Transmission or T-Case rear bushing or Driveline center support bearing will facilitate Driveline malfunction. Driveline U-joints excessive wear or failing will interfere with the Driveline’s ability to rotate properly. This will cause; rattling, clunking, scraping, or even squeaking sounds.
U-joints might be operating dry of lubrication, may also produce a squeaking noise at lower speeds. Clicking or knocking sounds specifically can indicate a faulty CV joint.
