New Process manufactured this transmission in 3 speed and 4 speed configurations. 3 & 4 speed units were typically used in Chrysler /Plymouth cars/vans while Dodge, Chevrolet and GMC pick-up trucks used 3 speed applications. Chevrolet and GMC pickups, vans and the stepvan used this popular 3 speed transmission. Chrysler ship the following modes with the A833 New Process manual transmission Lebaron, Newport, New Yorker, Sarasota, Windsor and the Chrysler 300. Dodge used the A833 in the Aspen, Charge, Coronet, Dart, Diplomat, Demon, GTS, Lancer, Monaco, Polara, Royal, Super Bee, Swinger and the Challenger. Dodge used this popular New Process transmission in the following pickups 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 1500, 2500, 3500 Series Light Trucks. Plymouth models including the Barracuda, Belvedere, Duster, Fury, Gran Fury, GTX, Plaza, Roadrunner, Satellite, Savoy, Scamp, Valiant, Volare and Trailduster utilized the A833 manual transmission.
Kit (RWD): Main case bearings, gaskets, seals, kits may also include nuts, we can in most cases provide dogs & wires, thrust bearings, extension housing bushing, small parts kit, shifter bushings however miscellaneous parts will vary by transmission. Syncro rings are sold separately in sets.

IDENTIFICATION - Cast iron case or aluminum side-loaded case, all forward speeds synchronized. Manufactured in both direct drive and overdrive models. rectangular 9 and 10 Bolt shift cover mounted on left side of transmission case. Early models had iron cases and late model cases are aluminum. Case length measures 10 5/8.
